Keys to Success..

I can hear the cow bells now

Here is a few of things we have to accomplish tomorrow in order to win the game...
  • Get ahead early, their fans are excited with the prospect of going to a bowl game for the first time in a while. We need to take them out of it early.
  • Get the ground game going. Everyone knows last week we struggled on the ground. The O-Line needs to come out and redeem themselves.
  • Protect JP, he can be accurate if he has time.
  • Force turnovers, Dixon (State's back) had 3 or 4 fumbles against Kentucky hit him hard and he should put it on the ground.
  • Put pressure on their freshman, Carroll is their third string quarterback but he hasn't been playing like it. If we can get pressure on him he will make some bad decisions.
  • BLOCK Titus Brown, last year he single handedly destroyed our offense.
  • Play solid in the secondary, last week we played soft when we had the lead and allowed them to throw right down the field.
These are a few of the things we need to do. But when it comes down to it, it is still State. I know, I know they beat Auburn and Kentucky but still. We are a much better team than they are and we need to go out and play like it.
